When I was in 3rd year undergrad, I got a job on a fishing boat for the summer. It was 18 days open season and 14 days closed. So when it was open we 'highballed' which meant about an 18 hour day. When open, we'd drop the line all day and then pick up line that we had laid, store the fish and clean up. When we cleaned up, the skipper would shut off the engine and we, and the fleet, would bob around in the North Pacific swell off the coast of Alaska and sharpen hooks and put lines away. The skipper would put on the radio, and from 1000 miles away, and every night at about the same time, we would hear this song play. Because of the atmospherics, it would fade in and out while we were under the stars and watching the lights of other boats, also in the fleet, drifting in the current and appearing and disappearing in the swell. I don't know if I have ever experienced anything more magical.

Stevie wrote this huddled in a corner, thinking about her failing relationship with Lyndsay and John & Christie's breakup while they were recording rumours. They all loved it & recorded it the next day.
